About our school
THE SCHOOL
Royston Primary School was built in 1937 to accommodate the children in the Royston/Wardieburn area. It is a spacious building and includes an attractive library, music room, computer suite, gym hall and resource room. We are also fortunate to have a swimming pool for our infant classes.
Our school roll currently stands at 180 pupils and 54 nursery children. We have disabled access, a lift and a hoist for our Purley Pool.
The management team comprises of the Headteacher, Depute Headteacher and Business Manager.
There is a full time Support for Learning Teacher and specialist teachers in P.E. and Art. We also have visiting instrumental specialists.
As part of our commitment to improving early literacy and numeracy, we have One Classroom Assistant attached to the Infant Department. The Nursery comprises of one teacher and two Nursery Nurses.
