Welcome to Royston Primary School

We have been very busy trying to be very healthy at Royston and our hard work as paid off.  We have just been accredited as a Health Promoting School.  Read on to have a look at some of the exciting things we have been up to.

Below is a picture of our new tuck shop, which sells lots of healthy snacks.

 Smoothie Tuesday

On Tuesdays every 2 weeks we have a day when we make smoothies which are 50p.  They are on sale for all the pupils in P1-P7.  They make a very healthy snack.

The P7's have also been going into the nursery to make smoothies for the nursery children.

New Playground games

New playground games have been painted in the playground.  The children and adults have been having lots of fun, as you can see in the pictures below!

The learning assistants have been trialling Walkie Talkies in the playground.  This allows them to be in close contact with one another in case any problems arise.

P7 Football Coaching

The Primary 7's have been very lucky this year to be involved in a football development scheme run by the council.   A football development officer has been coming into school every week to help children develop various football skills.
